Agentic paid search management

Agentic paid search: Google Ads and LSA run by an agent that never clocks out.

Inside Harness Hub, a paid search agent reads your whole Google Ads account every day, Local Services Ads included, researches keywords, builds Search campaigns, and stages every fix with the before and after laid out. It judges the work on tracked calls, scored leads, and invoiced revenue. Your strategist sets the route. You approve what moves money.

What is agentic paid search management?

Agentic paid search management is Google Ads and Local Services Ads management where an AI agent does the daily work: it reads, audits, researches, plans, builds, and stages every change on its own, and a person approves the ones that spend money. Call it agentic PPC, AI Google Ads management, or SEM with an agent on the account. Same work, same rope.

  • Not Google's auto-apply Google's automation optimizes inside a black box. The agent shows its work and waits for a yes.
  • Not a strategist with a dashboard The agent does the daily grind. Your strategist sets the route and makes the calls.
  • A search ads agent on the account Built into Harness Hub, working your Google Ads and Local Services Ads every day, with your hand on the rope.
Where ads management is headed

Ads management has a new crew. Here's how the work splits.

For years you had two choices: pay an agency for a person who checks in weekly, or hand the keys to Google's automation and hope. But an account throws off more signal in a day (search terms, calls, weather, who answered the phone) than a person can read in a week. That's why the grind is moving to an agent, and why a person still signs off on anything that spends money.

Weekly

A traditional agency

  • A strategist pulls reports when the calendar says so.
  • Search terms get read when somebody has time.
  • Results depend on who's on the account this quarter.
  • Changes live in someone's head or a spreadsheet.
  • Reports stop at clicks and platform "conversions."
Black box

Google's own automation

  • Optimizes to whatever the account counts as a conversion. If spam calls count, it chases spam calls.
  • Recommendations can be set to apply themselves.
  • Performance Max decides where your money goes, with limited say in how.
  • Nobody on that side knows your board, your trucks, or your service area.
Every day

Agentic paid search with Harness

  • An agent reads the account daily against 100+ fixed checks, the same way every time.
  • It judges the work on tracked calls, scored leads, and invoiced revenue.
  • Every proposed change shows the before and after, then waits for a yes.
  • Every applied change is logged and can be reverted in one click.
  • A named strategist sets direction and owns the relationship.
How the agent works

One loop, run every day. Clipped in at every step.

Every move the agent makes goes through the same six steps, and none of them skip your approval. That's not a limitation. It's the design.

  1. Read

Audits the account against 100+ checks in 10 categories, plus your calls, leads, staffed hours, and the local forecast.

  2. Plan

Pulls live search volume and bid ranges from Google's Keyword Planner and works from playbooks built for home-services trades.

  3. Check

Runs every proposed change through Harness policy rules, then a dry run against Google, before it gets anywhere near the live account.

  4. Approve

You or your strategist see the campaign, the before, the after, and the account total. Nothing applies without a yes.

  5. Apply & log

Approved changes go in as one atomic batch, come back with Google's confirmation, and land in a change log with a one-click revert.

  6. Watch

New launches get checked at 24 hours, 72 hours, and 7 days. Anything not serving or disapproved gets flagged.

What the agent works on

The grind nobody has time for. Done every day.

The agent runs on 15 playbooks built for home-services accounts. Here's a sample of the work it handles, so your strategist spends their time on judgment calls instead of report pulls.

Wasted-spend sweep

Reads search terms and drafts negatives for searches you'd never want to pay for, each one checked against your trade's core searches and the keywords you already bid on.

Conversion tracking health

Catches broken, duplicate, or miscounted conversions before they teach Google to bid on the wrong thing.

Lead-to-booking diagnosis

Follows the trail from click to call to invoice and stops at the first step that's leaking.

Budget reallocation

Spots campaigns held back by budget and proposes moves in measured steps, inside the monthly cap you set.

Ad copy refresh

Writes responsive search ads from your brand and your approved claims. If you can't back it up, it doesn't go in the ad.

Landing page alignment

Checks that every ad group has its own live page, the right final URL, and the right phone number on it.

Service area & schedule

Keeps ads running where you actually serve, and when somebody's there to answer the phone.

Local Services check

Reads your LSA campaigns for budget limits, targets set on thin lead counts, and lead goals Google isn't counting, inside the same monthly cap as Search.

Peak season & weather

Watches a 16-day forecast for every campaign area and stages a budget plan before the heat wave or hard freeze hits.

On belay

It can't spend your money without you. It can't forget what it did, either.

An agent with access to a live ad account needs a rope system, not a promise. These are built into the software, not written in a policy doc.

100+ audit checks, scored A to F
15 playbooks built for home services
250 / 500 max changes per hour / per day
1 click to revert any applied change

Approval on every live change

Budgets, bids, keywords, campaigns. Each one waits for an explicit yes, with the before and after right on the card.

A dry run before the real run

Every batch is checked against Harness policy and validated by Google itself before it's allowed near the account.

Rules it can't argue around

It won't pause core repair lines like AC repair or water heaters on thin data, and it won't add a negative keyword that blocks your own core repair terms.

Hard limits and an off switch

Caps on changes per hour and per day, limits on how far one bid move can go, and a switch that turns agent changes off for the account.

A change log with a revert button

Who asked, who approved, what changed, and what it was before. Any applied change can be undone, through the same checks.

Launches go out paused

New campaigns land in Google paused, then go live only after a QA checklist, launch sign-offs, and a typed confirmation.

Campaign coverage

Builds Search from a conversation. Manages Search and Local Services Ads together.

Describe your trades, services, and service areas in plain English. The agent plans the campaigns, writes the ads, and builds a landing page for every ad group. Local Services Ads get their own checks and the same approvals. Everything else in the account gets the same audit and one approval card.

Built by the agent
  • Search campaigns by trade and service area
  • A Brand campaign, when brand searches justify one
  • Keyword lists from live Keyword Planner data
  • Ad copy checked against the claims you can back up
  • A Pagestorm landing page for every ad group

Trade playbooks for HVAC, plumbing, electrical, roofing, garage doors, and handyman work. Pest control and other lines get planned as their own custom verticals. See PPC for home services →

Audited and managed by the agent
  • Search
  • Brand
  • Local Services Ads
  • Performance Max
  • Display
  • Demand Gen

Local Services Ads, standalone or the pay-per-lead Performance Max kind, get checks built for them: a budget-limited status read as a decision, not a defect; target CPA judged on measured leads, not a fixed count; lead goals Google isn't counting. They sit inside the same monthly cap and pacing, and budget, target, or status changes on existing LSA campaigns go through the same validate-and-approve flow where Google's API allows it. The Harness team handles what Google keeps human: verification and the Google Verified badge most people still call Google Guaranteed, your profile and job types, and lead disputes. Local Services Ads management →

Performance Max, Display, and Demand Gen get watched for how much budget they pull from Search and Local Services, with budget and status changes through the same card.

What the agent judges on

Clicks don't pay the bills. Jobs do.

An agent is only as good as the score it's chasing. Ours chases what you do: calls that turn into work. The whole signal chain runs on software we built, so every lead traces back to the ad group that earned it.

  1. Ad group

Tight keyword themes by service, job type, and area.

  2. Pagestorm page

A landing page built for that exact ad group.

  3. Call or form

Tracked number and form, tied to the campaign, ad group, and keyword.

  4. Scored lead

Every lead scored 0 to 100 for your trade. Spam and wrong numbers score zero.

  5. Back to bidding

Lead scores and ServiceTitan invoice revenue go back to Google as conversions.

Harness Hub

Pagestorm

Hyper-specific landing pages for every ad group. "Emergency AC repair in Edmond" gets its own page, not your homepage. Better relevance means better Quality Score, cheaper clicks, and more of them turning into calls.

Partner-channel pricing

Paid search management pricing: one rate, a floor and a ceiling.

The fee scales with the spend we manage, and the agent comes with it. No tool costs stacked on top. Small accounts get a sensible minimum; big accounts get a hard cap, so your fee stops growing long before your budget does.

Account build or rebuild

Search campaigns by trade and service area, planned in a conversation with live keyword data and clean geo targeting.

Pagestorm landing pages

A dedicated page for every ad group, matched to the keyword, service, and area. No generic homepage traffic.

Call & form tracking

Tracked numbers and tagged forms on every page, with every lead scored for quality.

Revenue attribution

ServiceTitan invoices matched back to the campaign and ad group that brought in the call.

Conversion feedback

Lead scores and invoiced revenue sent back to Google, so the account is judged on real work, and automated bidding learns from it once a campaign graduates.

Reporting & change log

Spend, calls, leads, and revenue by campaign, live in Harness Hub, next to every change the agent made and who approved it.

A named strategist

A real person who knows your trades, sets the agent's route, and reviews what it stages. Not a ticket queue.

FAQ

Straight answers, up front.

Will an AI spend my money without asking?

No. Every live change, whether it's a budget, a bid, a keyword, or a whole campaign, is checked against Harness policy and validated with Google first. Then it's shown to you or your strategist with the before and after. Nothing applies without an explicit approval, and there's a hard cap of 250 changes an hour and 500 a day on top of that.

So what makes it agentic?

The work. The agent reads the account, runs the audits, researches keywords, plans campaigns, writes ads, builds landing pages, and stages the fixes on its own, every day. The one thing it waits on is the decision to spend money, and that's on purpose.

What's the difference between an AI PPC agency and agentic PPC?

An AI PPC agency is people using AI tools. Agentic PPC is an AI PPC agent doing the work inside the account every day, with a person approving what spends money. Both have humans. Only one has an agent that reads your whole account before breakfast.

Is this PPC management, SEM, or paid search management?

All three names for the same job. Running Google Ads and Local Services Ads for a home services business is paid search management; agencies also call it PPC or SEM. What's different here is the agent doing the daily work and a person approving what spends money.

What if the agent gets something wrong?

Policy rules stop the classic mistakes before they're ever proposed, like pausing a core repair line on thin data or adding a negative keyword that would block your own core repair terms. Anything that does get applied is logged with its before values and can be reverted in one click. Agent changes can also be switched off for the whole account at any time.

Do I still get a human?

Yes, a named strategist. The agent does the daily grind. Your strategist sets direction, reviews what the agent stages, signs off on changes, and is the person you call.

Which campaign types does it handle?

It builds Search campaigns from scratch, one per trade and service area, plus a Brand campaign when brand searches justify one. New campaigns land in Google paused and go live only after QA and sign-off. It audits and manages your Local Services Ads alongside them: budget limits, targets, lead goals, pacing inside one cap, and approved changes to existing LSA campaigns. Performance Max, Display, and Demand Gen get the same audit and approvals. It doesn't create Local Services, Performance Max, or Display campaigns from scratch today.

Do you manage Local Services Ads too?

Yes. The agent audits and manages your LSA campaigns next to Search, and the Harness team handles the parts Google keeps human: verification and the badge (Google Verified now, Google Guaranteed to most people), your profile and job types, and lead disputes in Google's lead manager.

What does it optimize to?

Tracked calls and forms, a 0 to 100 quality score on every lead, and invoiced revenue from ServiceTitan. Lead scores and revenue go back to Google as conversions, so the account is judged on good leads, and when a campaign graduates to automated bidding, that's what it learns from. Not clicks or button taps.

Do I need ServiceTitan?

No. Tracked calls and forms are enough to run the account well. ServiceTitan adds invoiced revenue, so the agent can see which campaigns paid for themselves. If you run a different field service system, tell us which one and we'll tell you straight what we can connect today.

Can I talk to the agent?

Yes. Ask it anything about your account inside Harness Hub, or from Claude or ChatGPT through the Harness Hub connector. Questions get answered anywhere. Changes still go through approval.

How much does PPC management cost?

Through our partner channel it's 20% of the ad spend we manage that month, never less than $500 and never more than $10,000: the minimum applies below $2,500/mo in spend, and the cap from $50,000/mo up. Ad spend itself is separate, billed by the ad platforms and never bundled into our fee. Plenty of agencies charge a percentage of spend or a flat retainer, then add tool and reporting fees on top. Ours includes Harness Hub, the PPC agent, Pagestorm landing pages, call tracking, and lead scoring. Use the fee calculator on this page to price your own spend.

Are there software, tool, or reporting charges on top?

None. Harness Hub, the paid search agent, Pagestorm landing pages, call tracking, and lead scoring are part of how we run the account, so they're covered by the management fee. No platform line items, no per-page charges, no "AI add-on."

Who is this pricing for?

This rate is offered through our dedicated PPC channel for accounts referred by a Harness partner. If you came to us another way, reach out anyway and we'll tell you straight which program fits your operation.

What happens to the account if we part ways?

The ad account is yours. We run it; you own it, along with the history and data inside it.
