Santiago Gonzalez

Santiago González is Chief Technology Officer at Harness Digital Solutions, where he owns technical architecture end to end: mobile, backend, the AI layer, and the voice and telephony stack underneath them. He joined the team in September 2024 and wrote the first commit of the platform he now leads.

That platform is HIPAA-compliant by design and ships as several branded healthcare applications from a shared codebase, with React Native apps live in both the App Store and Google Play. Santiago built the real-time voice agent on ElevenLabs and LiveKit, and architected the AI contact center subsystem that became one of the platform’s headline features. He also leads engineering on Harness Hub, the unified CRM, operations, and reporting platform, including its PageStorm page-generation features.

He works primarily in TypeScript, building in React Native, Next.js, and Fastify with Supabase and Fly.io underneath. He also owns the compliance posture for every system that touches health data, from Zero Data Retention configuration at the model provider down to Business Associate Agreements with each vendor in the chain. His instinct on new technology is to validate before building around it. When the team weighed moving to self-hosted inference, he scoped a side-by-side proof of concept against the production model before anyone specced a server.

Santiago works with the Oklahoma City team from Uruguay, and is known internally for saying exactly as much as a message requires and not a word more.
